SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2020
Vacancies of Stenographer Grade C and Stenographers Grade D are in Ministries/
Departments/ Organizations of Central Government, including their Attached and
Subordinate offices located in various States and Union Territories all over the country.
F.No.3/8/2020-P&P-II: The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive
Computer-Based Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade C (Group B,
Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various Ministries/ Departments/
Organizations in the Government of India. Only those candidates who have skills in stenography
are eligible to apply.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2020:- Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized
Board or University.
Skill Test
The candidates will be given
one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the
online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of
Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer.

Candidates can pay application Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro,
RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 06.11.2020 (23:30 hours). However,
candidates who wish to make payment through challan of SBI may make the payment at
designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 10.11.2020 provided
the challan has been generated by them before 08.11.2020 (23:30 hours).
SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2020
Indicative Syllabus for Computer Based Mode Examination:
General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and nonverbal types. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences,
space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,
discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure
classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols
and their relationship, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions.
General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate's
general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions
will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday
observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated
person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries
especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General
Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be
such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidates'
understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure,
synonyms, antonyms, and its correct usage, etc. his/ her writing ability, would also be
tested.
Note - For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of
Maps/ Graphs/ Diagrams/ Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning/
General Awareness Paper.

- The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only. The questions will be set
both in English & Hindi.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are,
therefore, advised keeping this in mind while answering the questions.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment C /D 2020: Answer key
Tentative Answer Keys of the Computer Based Examination will be placed on the website
of the Commission after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys
and submit online representations, if any, within the time limit given by the Commission,
on payment of Rs 100/- per question. Any representation regarding the Answer Keys
received through the online modality within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the
time of uploading of the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer
Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final. Representations on
the matter received through any other modalities e.g. letter, application, email, etc will not
be entertained.

Staff Selection Commission will be released the admit cards on the official website and Region wise. we will inform you when admit card upload by the commission.

How to Fill SSC Stenographer Online Form 2020
Candidates can apply for the SSC Stenographer recruitment Grade C / D 2020 between the Date 10 October to 04 November 2020.

3.Before applying online, keep all your documents ready such
as Aadhar card, contact number, an active email, latest photo scanned document,

9. Now you can submit your application.
10. Take a print out of your application or You can also save your application.
